Chapter Four

Today, I found a letter in my pack. It's from Father. The letter wasn't long so it was to the point. I copied it in my journal. It read:

Eleanor,

If I didn't make it through the portal then it will mean you're on your own in a strange land, Dereth. This letter contains vital information for your survival. You must find a warrior of the Human race, if he is still alive. If he is dead, he has a son named Yodah. Show them the helmet and bow I've given you. They were mine and will help prove that you are of me. Never trade them, use them. Remember everything I have taught you, it will keep you alive. I may have seemed distant and stern to you but I never really was. You see, a father's love for his child is always there following that child wherever they go and I'm with you always in your heart.

When I shared this letter with Kavnil, he became withdrawn. He has just looked at me oddly the last few days. This has scared me because the silence between us is becoming unbearable. Does my new friend know something? If so, what is he hiding.
